Layer 1 blockchain MANTRA (OM) has launched RWAccelerator, a startup program backed by Google Cloud to support projects in tokenizing real-world assets, with funding, mentorship, and AI support.

Backed by Google Cloud, the program will support startups in the real estate, finance, and alternative assets industries that are exploring RWA tokenization. Selected projects will be offered three tracks to choose from: infrastructure, tokenization, and decentralized finance (DeFi).

The program is currently accepting applications for its first intake, which will continue until March 20. Selected participants will be notified by April 1, and the second intake will open on March 20.

The launch of the RWAccelerator comes at a critical juncture for the real-world asset (RWA) sector. According to the World Economic Forum, approximately 10% of global GDP—about $10 trillion—could be stored on blockchain networks by 2027.

Real-world assets include tangible and intangible assets such as real estate, commodities, bonds, and art. These assets are typically managed within traditional financial systems, which limit their accessibility and liquidity.
