Lisk is a modular open-source blockchain application platform that was founded in early 2015 by Max Kordek and Oliver Beddows. The platform is based on its own blockchain network and token, known as LSK. The goal of Lisk is to make it easier for developers to build blockchain applications in JavaScript and to deploy their own sidechain linked to the Lisk network.

In this way, every decentralized application runs on its own blockchain, reducing the load on the network.
