Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) is reportedly exercising caution in considering the approval of spot crypto Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF) products.

日本の金融庁（FSA）はスポット仮想通貨上場投資信託（ETF）商品の承認の検討に慎重になっていると報じられている。

According to a recent Bloomberg report, FSA Commissioner Hideki Ito expressed concerns about the potential impact of crypto assets on the long-term wealth creation of the Japanese people. He highlighted that other nations have adopted a more conservative approach to retail investors' crypto investments.

Ito, who is relatively new to the FSA, has been actively involved in the regulator's efforts to mobilize household assets to drive a self-sustaining economic growth cycle. In this context, the FSA is keen on scrutinizing whether investment products and services align with investors' knowledge and experience.

While the agency maintains a pro-technology stance, it does not intend to completely rule out the possibility of spot crypto ETF products. However, the FSA wishes to conduct thorough due diligence before approving such products.

Meanwhile, crypto ETFs in the United States have been performing well, but the last few days have seen some turbulence. The broader crypto market experienced a mini-crash, which affected all sectors.

一方、米国の仮想通貨ETFは好調に推移しているが、ここ数日は若干の混乱が見られる。より広範な仮想通貨市場はミニ暴落を経験し、すべてのセクターに影響を及ぼしました。

According to blockchain analytics firm SoSo Value, Bitcoin investment products experienced a combined outflow of $149 million on August 6. Fidelity Investments' Bitcoin ETF (FBTC) led the outflows with a substantial withdrawal of about $65 million, which is significantly higher than the $58.04 million outflow reported by the fund the previous day.

ブロックチェーン分析会社SoSo Valueによると、8月6日にビットコイン投資商品は合わせて1億4900万ドルの流出を経験した。フィデリティ・インベストメンツのビットコインETF（FBTC）が流出を主導し、約6500万ドルの大幅な引き出しとなったが、これは5804万ドルを大幅に上回っている。前日にファンドから流出が報告された。

Moreover, Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) experienced a significant outflow of $32.18 million. On the same day, ARK Invest and 21Shares' ARKB ETF saw an outflow of $28.88 million, and Franklin Templeton's Digital Holdings Trust (EZBC) recorded an outflow of $23 million.

Spot Ethereum ETFs also had a rough week with outflows, but BlackRock's ETHA ETF recorded a large inflow on August 6. Notably, the BlackRock iShares Ethereum trust netted over $108 million in inflows.
