It would also prohibit stablecoins from paying interest or other forms of yield to holders.

Stablecoins are a type of cryptocurrency that are designed to maintain a stable value, typically pegged to a fiat currency, such as the U.S. dollar. In addition to the core provisions on capital requirements and interest payments, the GENIUS Act would also:
