イーサリアムETFがまもなく発売開始

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is poised to approve spot Ethereum ETFs by July 12, with trading set to begin on July 15, according to ETF Store president Nate Geraci.

ETFストアの社長ネイト・ゲラシ氏によると、米国証券取引委員会（SEC）は7月12日までにスポットイーサリアムETFを承認する予定で、取引は7月15日に開始される予定だという。

In an interview with ETF Edge on July 2, Geraci stated that the final S-1 approval from the SEC could be received around July 12.

“The amended S-1 application for Ethereum ETFs is scheduled for July. Given that, a likely start date for trading Ether ETFs would be Monday, July 15.”

Last Friday, the US SEC sent back the S-1 filings to the issuers to address a few minor concerns, sources told CoinDesk.

As reported, 19b-4 papers pertaining to the listing of Ether ETFs on exchanges were approved by the SEC in May. However, the S-1 files must be accepted by the SEC before they can be made available for trading.

Galaxy Digital’s head of asset management, Steve Kurz, said the clearance for the Ether ETF is likely within the next few weeks.

Appearing on Bloomberg TV on July 2, Kurz stated:

K33 Research forecast on Tuesday that Ethereum will outperform Bitcoin following the approval of the ETF.

According to K33, 0.75% to 1% of all ETH in circulation would be used in the first five months after the launch of Ether ETFs. These projections are in accordance with those of Gemini, which anticipated $5 billion in inflows over the initial six months of introduction.

“ETFs are a solid catalyst for relative ETH strength as the summer progresses and flows accumulate, and I firmly view current ETH/BTC prices as a bargain for the patient trader,” said K33 analyst Vetle Lunde.

Starting at 0.056 following the debut of the Bitcoin ETFs, the ETH/BTC ratio dropped rapidly, hitting 0.046 by May 24.

However, the ratio rebounded to 0.055 following the unexpected announcement that the SEC would shortly authorize Ethereum ETFs.
