According to the co-founders of cryptocurrency analytics platform Glassnode, Bitcoin (BTC) could potentially reach $85,200 before the summer season, contingent upon the performance of a technical indicator.

In a recent thread shared on social media platform X, the co-founders, known by their alias Negentropic, informed their 62,800 followers that Bitcoin appeared to be breaking out of a bullish pennant pattern.

Negentropic further observed that Bitcoin, the leading cryptocurrency by market capitalization, had endured a bearish weekend characterized by the liquidation of long positions. The Glassnode co-founders suggested that if BTC continued to consolidate, it could surpass the $65,000 resistance level and rise to $70,000.

However, crypto analyst Benjamin Cowen expressed a contrasting view over the weekend, suggesting that Bitcoin's rally might be ephemeral, as it currently behaves as a more volatile version of the stock market.

Cowen pointed out that these three major stock indices had ascended to around their 50-day simple moving average (SMA) before undergoing a correction, a pattern that he posited BTC could emulate.
