Craig Wright, who has long claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin (BTC), has shifted his online presence to a new account named “S Tominaga” on X. Through this account, Wright continues to promote Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV).

Despite being found by the U.K. High Court to have lied about being Satoshi during the COPA vs. Wright case, Wright has resurfaced on social media. Notably, he is now posting under a different account.

Since July, Wright has been sharing various content on X through his new account. This includes sharing philosophical quotes, reflecting on the COPA case, and critiquing BTC for allegedly deviating from its original purpose as a payment system.

In one recent post, Wright escalated rivalries between BSV and BTC, strongly expecting BSV "to win." Despite BTC outperforming BSV on nearly every possible metric, Wright framed BSV's victory as a result of its moral superiority to BTC.

According to Wright, BSV's focus on payments, highlighted by features like micropayments and advanced scaling, makes it the real Bitcoin. He argued that these attributes trump traditional measures of commercial success, highlighting BSV's principled approach.

BSV Struggling Compared to BTC

While Wright may be emphasizing principles and ideals over metrics, the market has largely decided that BTC is the real Bitcoin.

The BSVBTC trading pair, which peaked at 0.05348 in January 2020, indicating 19 BSV for 1 BTC, now requires about 1,416 BSV to buy a single BTC, showing a 99% decrease in value.

Furthermore, BSV seems to be losing user interest. Recently, the number of active addresses on the BSV network dropped to 171k, down from 4.8 million in December 2020.

Despite these challenges and the reputational blow from the COPA case verdict, Wright continues to promote BSV. The project is expected to introduce its Chronicle upgrade in Q3, aiming to enhance scaling capabilities with a target transaction throughput of 1.1 million per second.
