Self-proclaimed Bitcoin evangelist and nChain chief scientist Craig Wright has a grand vision for the original cryptocurrency. In his ideal world, Bitcoin would power a borderless electronic cash system, as opposed to catering to "fantasies of fast wealth."

In Wright's narrative, Bitcoin would enable the unbanked population—who, he claimed, have been shut out of traditional financial systems for not meeting certain requirements—to hold, control, and trade their money "instantly" without middlemen fees or arbitrary limitations.

According to the post, Wright's team has been building a Bitcoin scaling solution for the last "15 years" and is keen to introduce it to the public in the "next decade." The nChain scientist claimed that the system would meet and outpace current blockchain needs by "orders of magnitude" while remaining accessible, affordable, and ready. He said his solution would eliminate fee hikes that price out users amid demand surges.

Noting that the solution's foundation was in place, Wright asserted that its debut would allow users in any country to leverage Bitcoin as a tool to join the global economy on an equal footing, instead of an asset to hoard.
