An "epic sat" represents the first satoshi mined in a new halving block, marking a pivotal milestone in Bitcoin's history. Due to Bitcoin's halving mechanism, only four such sats exist, making them highly sought-after collectibles. These rare sats, distinguished by their unique sequence numbers, hold immense value for collectors and enthusiasts.

Tools such as Ordiscan and OrdinalHub play a crucial role in verifying ownership of epic sats by scrutinizing UTXO and output numbers. ViaBTC, the fortunate miner of the fourth halving block, received a substantial reward of 3.125 Bitcoin and an additional 37.6 Bitcoin in fees.
