A viral post claiming that the original Bitcoin X account shared two different posts at different times, a caricature picture of Pi Founder Nikkolas, one on January 11, 2024, and a second on April 25, 2025, is circulating on X.

The post, which has been shared over 1.5K times and liked by 7,000-plus users, is quickly spreading among the Pi users, who are tagging it to be true. Due to which users are engaging through comments and getting influenced by the post, making them think that they should buy or invest in the Pi token.

However, the post is a hoax. It has been fabricated to mislead the users.

When checking, it was found that Bitcoin’s official handle did share a caricature picture via its account, but it wasn't Pi Founder Nikkolas. Rather, it's Hal Finney, an early Bitcoin pioneer. Popular for his dark beard, curly hair, and glasses, he was a computer scientist and the first person to receive the first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009. Also, when looking carefully, the caricature seems to be older, which resonates with Hal Fenny.

The post was shared on Thursday at 1:43 AM and has so far received over 1,534 shares and 7,000 reactions. Many users got engaged in the post by commenting about investing in the Pi token.

Popular for his dark beard, curly hair, and glasses, he was a computer scientist and the first person to receive the first Bitcoin transaction from Satoshi Nakamoto in 2029. He was also involved in the development of the Bitcoin protocol and mined some of the earliest Bitcoin blocks."
