This move aims to address the complexities and high costs typically involved in developing and auditing smart contracts designed to facilitate the transfer of tokens between Layer 1 (L1) blockchains.

Avalanche ICTT enables the seamless bridging of tokens, such as USDC and BTC, among multiple L1s on Avalanche through pre-built, permissionless, and extensively audited smart contracts. This capability allows for faster transactions while also maintaining safety and quality standards throughout all cross-chain transactions.

In related news, as part of its efforts to enhance cross-chain communication, Ava Labs is also introducing Teleporter, an advanced cross-chain communication protocol designed to facilitate the seamless interchange of information between Avalanche L1s (previously known as Subnets) in a manner similar to the way countries trade and communicate. This protocol enables faster and more efficient communication among L1s on Avalanche.
