Aptos Foundation and Alibaba Cloud are joining forces to boost Web3 in Japan. This collaboration will enhance accessibility and foster innovation throughout the region.

According to a post on their X platform, the aim is to make the technology more available in the Asia-Pacific region. They have launched Alcove, the first co-branded Move developer community in Asia.

Aptos Foundation, Alibaba Cloud to Host Hackathons for Alcove Community in Japan

The Aptos Foundation will organize hackathons for the Alcove community in collaboration with Alibaba Cloud. These events aim to nurture Web3 talent by providing opportunities to learn from industry leaders and inspiring the next generation of Web3 developers and innovators.

Aptos Foundation は、Alibaba Cloud と協力して、Alcove コミュニティ向けのハッカソンを開催します。これらのイベントは、業界のリーダーから学び、次世代の Web3 開発者やイノベーターにインスピレーションを与える機会を提供することで、Web3 の人材を育成することを目的としています。

The first initiative, a Move developer meetup, will be held in Japan. Co-hosted by OKCoin Japan and Alibaba Cloud, this event will empower builders with the tools and knowledge to develop real-world Web3 use cases.

最初の取り組みとなるMove開発者ミートアップは日本で開催される。 OKCoin Japan と Alibaba Cloud が共催するこのイベントは、ビルダーに実際の Web3 ユースケースを開発するためのツールと知識を提供します。

Being the first region in the Asia Pacific to benefit from this collaboration, Japan's blockchain and crypto-friendly regulatory environment makes it an ideal place to lead global Web3 and digital asset innovations.

Alcove's mission is to expand the use of the Move smart contract programming language among top developers. To support this mission, the Aptos Foundation will use Alibaba Cloud's technology to host hackathons and educational events. These efforts will help emerging Web3 talents in the Alcove Japan community and accelerate the development of Japan’s on-chain ecosystem.

Aptos saw the most significant growth in active users among blockchain platforms. According to Token Terminal, the number of active users on Aptos increased by 59.3% this month, reaching 3.55 million.

The Digital Assets Committee, part of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), oversees and regulates digital assets like cryptocurrencies. To handle the complexities of cryptocurrency regulation, the committee has formed a 34-member subcommittee.

In another development, Aptos Labs has partnered with Google Cloud to launch Aptos GameStack. This new platform aims to enhance the development and experience of live service games using web3 technologies.
