Cryptocurrency network Aligned has unveiled its ZK verification layer on Ethereum mainnet beta. This launch will enable developers to verify zero-knowledge proofs on Ethereum at less than 10% of the current cost, allowing for thousands of proofs to be submitted per batch.

The launch of the ZK verification layer is a significant development for Ethereum, as it will open up new possibilities for zkEVMs and other applications. Aligned, a scalable ZK verification for blockchain, announced the launch of the network via its official X account.

The mainnet beta supports verifiers for leading proof systems, including Risc0 (v1.1.2), SP1 (v3.0.0), gnark Groth16 (BN254), and gnark Plonk (BN2254 & BLS12-381). The network is capable of processing 200 proofs per second at a cost of 2100 gas per proof.
