STEPN Partners with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to Launch Genesis NFT Sneakers

Move-to-earn mobile application STEPN has partnered with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to launch non-fungible token-backed sneakers in honour of the legendary football team.

The social lifestyle app is integrating deeper into the NFT sneaker market as some of its rivals exit. For instance, despite announcing plans to enter the NFT market earlier this year, Nike has pulled out, citing that the market turns out to be unprofitable.

On Friday, May 5, reports confirmed that the move-to-earn mobile application STEPN has signed a long-term partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) to issue NFT digital sneakers in honour of the legendary football team. For the next two years, the social lifestyle app and the Association will collaborate to pay tribute to fans with prizes and lotteries, while the Association expands into Web3.
