Stephen Colbert's "Late Show" Channels Chappell Roan to Spoof Donald Trump Jr.'s New GOP Bigwigs-Only Club

Stephen Colbert’s Monday night Late Show took aim at a new, exclusive club in Washington, D.C., founded by Donald Trump Jr., focusing on GOP bigwigs and moguls.

The club, Executive Branch, is charging a membership fee of $500,000 and promises “a sumptuous retreat for rubbing shoulders with cabinet members and West Wing officials, with no danger of running into reporters or Democrats,” according to Axios, which first reported on the club.

The club is being touted as a "scene" with "no reporters, no Democrats, and the DJ plays a mashup of My Chemical Romance and the theme from 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,'" according to Axios.

The report also mentions that the club's founders are "Junior, Devorah and Benajamin Neretl,li and Charles Benkendorff" and that the food will include "Trump steaks, each cut costing one Trump meme coin."

The segment on Colbert’s show began with a singer who sounds like singer-songwriter Chappell Roan continuing the theme of acceptance and inclusivity, but this time with a fictional bar in West Hollywood. It seems like the perfect mashup for the times.

Only in the hands of Colbert’s crew, it’s now the “Trump Crony Club.”

“I heard Don’s opening a spot, where billionaires can talk about their favorite type of yacht,” the singer, who appears to be a soundalike, begins. “It costs half a million to join, for food they offer Trump steaks ― each cut costs one Trump meme coin. It will be quite the scene, Elon on ketamine, word is their first member is the ghost of Epstein, insider trading tips from Marjorie Taylor Greene, they said they’d drain the swamp, they just renamed it the Trump Crony Club ... On the turntables they got DJ Beelzebub, it’s Junior’s vision so there’ll be a cocaine-filled tub, Trump Crony Club.”

The upbeat song, which is set to the same melody and has similar lyrics as Roan’s viral smash “Pink Pony Club,” continues with lines like “They’re serving MAGA mint juleps in the Trump Crony Club” and “It’s Junior’s vision, there’s no smoking, but they’ll have a weed-filled bub, Trump Crony Club.”
