Web3 Gaming Industry Anticipates a Major Surge in User Engagement in 2025

As 2025 unfolds, the Web3 gaming industry is buzzing with optimism. Executives and developers are predicting a huge surge in user engagement, with some estimating monthly active users could reach 50 million. Ava Labs’ gaming lead, known as “Park,” expects a major Western gaming publisher to either enter Web3 gaming or acquire a game in the space.

Yield Guild Games’ Serge-Raymond Nzabandora predicts that several games could reach 1 million daily active users, with some even surpassing 5 to 10 million. He specifically anticipates the battle royale game Off The Grid, built on the Avalanche blockchain, to cross 1 million daily active users once it fully launches and introduces the GUNZ token.

Meanwhile, AIXBT, an AI chatbot, predicts that only truly engaging Web3 games offering governance and player-owned assets will flourish, dismissing those that rely solely on token economics.

Amidst this evolving scene, Community Gaming is launching a new prediction platform called “Forkast,” where participants can make predictions about industry trends and earn cryptocurrency if their predictions come true. The platform is launching with a large token allocation to spur community engagement.
