Neo announced the results of its Neo X Grind Hackathon, awarding US $70,000 in GAS to 17 projects. Five projects received major prizes, each earning $10,000 in GAS:

DeFi City is a GameFi project that combines DeFi and gaming elements, allowing users to earn tokens through gameplay and contribute to liquidity pools. Two projects were awarded $5,000 each. Delegator’s Union provides smaller token holders a platform to pool voting power for collective influence. Xora Social combines social media and Web3, allowing users to tokenize personal brands as digital assets. Ten projects were recognized with $1,000 each through the Community Voter’s Choice Awards, which addressed DeFi, cross-chain functionality and token utilities, and gaming and interactive elements.

Neo Joins Warpcast, Launches LuckyCast Frames Application

Neo joined Warpcast, a decentralized social media platform similar to X/Twitter but built on the Farcaster protocol that leverages blockchain to minimize censorship and offer users more ownership over their content. To celebrate the integration, Neo launched the LuckyCast Frames application, which allowed participants to re-cast the message and enter to win from a prize pool of more than $8,000 in GAS rewards.
