Bitfinex Integrates Thalex, Expanding Its Cryptocurrency Derivatives Offering

Bitfinex, known for its cryptocurrency exchange and lending services, has fully integrated the specialized derivatives platform Thalex into its main platform. This move is part of Bitfinex's broader mission to expand financial freedom by providing professional traders with simpler access to crypto options and derivatives.

Thalex, a platform offering linear options, futures, and perpetual contracts, is now fully accessible to Bitfinex users. They can log in to their usual Bitfinex account, transfer assets seamlessly between the two platforms, and begin trading Thalex products immediately. No additional KYC or new account creation is needed.

This integration aims to make advanced trading products more inclusive, catering to both beginners experimenting with new instruments and experienced traders seeking to optimize their strategies.

Thalex brings a universal margin account that supports margin in USD₮, BTC, or ETH, which can be used interchangeably across all positions. The platform also offers portfolio margining to help traders manage risk more efficiently across different instruments.

Perpetual contracts on Thalex use a clean, transparent pricing model. The funding rate is calculated as (Mark Price – Index Price) / 24 hours, with no artificial dampers or caps, ensuring fair and continuous P&L tracking for all users.

To encourage activity and liquidity further, Thalex has launched the Market Quality Program (MQP). This initiative rewards traders who contribute meaningfully to the platform's liquidity with monthly incentives, up to $200,000 USD in total rewards.
