The Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas will feature U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance as a keynote speaker, organizers announced Friday.

The three-day conference, hosted by BTC Inc. at The Venetian Las Vegas, is expected to draw more than 30,000 attendees. Vance’s remarks will be part of the “Code + Country” program and will be streamed globally via Bitcoin Magazine’s platforms. His speech is set for 9 a.m. on May 28, the event’s second day.

A recent convert to bitcoin, Vance has become a vocal critic of financial regulatory overreach during his Senate tenure. He previously condemned actions such as Canada’s 2022 bank account freezes as examples of centralized control risks.

Vance has also been critical of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) approach to cryptocurrency oversight, advocating for clearer policies around open-source monetary systems.

Organizers said his keynote will highlight bitcoin’s role in driving innovation, financial sovereignty, and national resilience. “This is more than a headline moment — it’s a signal,” said BTC Inc. CEO David Bailey.

“Bitcoin is at the forefront of the national conversation.”

Bitcoin 2025 will feature leaders from the tech, finance and policy sectors. Past speakers include U.S. President Donald Trump, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and executives from major financial institutions. The event underscores bitcoin’s growing intersection with mainstream economic and political discourse.
