Justin Sun Shares Big Take on Ethereum

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Sun made the prediction in response to a post from the Ethereum Foundation. The Foundation is preparing for a major global celebration to mark the tenth anniversary of Ethereum.

In the post, the Ethereum Foundation invited individuals and groups to organize their local meetups for July 30. These gatherings will celebrate ten years since the Genesis block of Ethereum was mined.

According to the Foundation, people are encouraged to organize their own events. These can range from casual hangouts to larger, planned gatherings. Notably, the Ecosystem Support Program will provide financial backing of up to $500 per event to support these efforts. Applications for funding must be submitted by June 15.

However, going a step further, Justin Sun added his own thoughts, reflecting on the shared birthday with Ethereum.

“Funny how my birthday is July 30 and so is the day Ethereum was launched in 2015. A coincidence that brings joy. As the Ethereum Foundation invites everyone to celebrate 10 years of Genesis Block with local meetups, I predict a 10x increase for ETH by then.”

His post has since drawn attention from Ethereum community members, who shared their own predictions and wishes for the cryptocurrency in the coming months.

It is important to note that the connection between Justin Sun and Ethereum has long drawn attention from the crypto community. Previously, CoinGape reported that Tron Founder Justin Sun revealed his plan to HOLD ETH despite a drop in its price.

Even with founding a rival platform, he continues to comment on Ethereum’s development.
