Strategy has kept up its aggressive Bitcoin buying. According to company executive Michael Saylor, the firm snapped up a fresh 13390 BTC for about $1.34 billion

MicroStrategy continues its impressive Bitcoin accumulation strategy. According to company executive Michael Saylor, the firm has recently purchased 13,390 BTC for approximately $1.34 billion at an average price of $99,856 per coin.
This latest addition brings MicroStrategy’s total Bitcoin holdings to 568,840 BTC. To put this into perspective, this amounts to about 2.7% of Bitcoin’s 21 million coin cap.
As of May 11, MicroStrategy’s total BTC holdings were acquired for $39.41 billion at an average price of $69,287 per bitcoin. The company also reported an outstanding BTC yield of 15.5% YTD 2025.
Earlier this year, MicroStrategy disclosed an investment of $934 million in new Bitcoin units. This purchase was executed at an average price of $94,374 per bitcoin and was funded through a combination of a fully committed convertible preferred stock offering and a private placement of senior notes.
Earlier reports indicate that MicroStrategy acquired 1,895 BTC on May 5 at an average price of $95,167. Moreover, on April 28, the company purchased 15,355 BTC at an average price of $92,737. These purchases add to the company’s previous investments in the world’s leading cryptocurrency.
In March, MicroStrategy disclosed the acquisition of 3,459 BTC at an average price of $82,618. This purchase was part of the company’s broader strategy to invest in Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation and to generate long-term returns.
MicroStrategy is one of the most active institutional investors in Bitcoin. The company began accumulating the cryptocurrency in 2020 and has since become a major force in the Bitcoin market.
As MicroStrategy continues its aggressive Bitcoin buying spree, it remains to be seen what impact this will have on the cryptocurrency market. Some analysts believe that MicroStrategy’s purchases are a bullish sign for Bitcoin, as they indicate that institutional interest in the cryptocurrency is strong.
However, other analysts are more skeptical and note that MicroStrategy’s purchases are pushing up the price of Bitcoin, which could make it more difficult for the cryptocurrency to sustain its gains in the long term. Only time will tell what the ultimate impact of MicroStrategy’s Bitcoin buying will be.
