Hespérides University in Spain is launching what is purportedly the world’s first Spanish-language Master’s program in Bitcoin, to be delivered entirely online starting April 28.
The program is supported by BTC Inc, JAN3, and other institutions in the Bitcoin space. It will offer a multidisciplinary approach to Bitcoin, covering its economic, legal, technological, and philosophical foundations.
The university says the program is designed to train the next generation of leaders in the global Bitcoin economy. It will provide students with the advanced knowledge and skills they need to succeed in this rapidly evolving field.
While other programs may treat Bitcoin as an investment or speculative asset, Hespérides' program aims to highlight Bitcoin's role as a decentralized monetary network and its broader implications for society.
“Bitcoin is the most important monetary revolution in decades and will shape our future,” said Juan Ramón Rallo, a program contributor, in a statement. “We must be ready to use it to defend our freedoms against the State. That is why we at the University of the Hesperides see this program as indispensable.”
