To meet the rising demand for crypto derivatives, CBOE Global Markets has launched new Bitcoin futures contracts called Cboe FTSE Bitcoin Index futures (XBTF)

Crypto derivatives demand has been steadily increasing, and to meet this demand, Cboe Global Markets has launched new Bitcoin futures contracts, known as Cboe FTSE Bitcoin Index futures (XBTF). These futures are now available on Cboe Futures Exchange.
Earlier this year, Cboe introduced Bitcoin options products, CBTX and MBTX, aiming to provide investors with diverse tools for managing Bitcoin price movements. These products can be utilized individually for simpler trades or combined for more advanced strategies. Similar to the Bitcoin options, the XBTF futures will be cleared through OCC.
Cboe is expanding its digital assets offerings with the listing of U.S. spot bitcoin and ether ETFs and the introduction of new cash-settled Bitcoin options, which have contributed to the creation of ETFs that provide investors with Bitcoin exposure with limited risk.
As customer demand for crypto-based derivatives continues to rise, Cboe is committed to building a well-rounded ecosystem to help facilitate more efficient, flexible access to bitcoin exposure and risk management, stated Catherine Clay, Global Head of Derivatives at Cboe.
These new Bitcoin futures are a significant addition to Cboe's crypto offerings, allowing investors to gain exposure to or hedge Bitcoin in a regulated, transparent environment with centralized clearing, she added.
Barak Capital, a leading market maker, highlighted the increasing demand for stable and efficient markets as digital asset investments become more institutionalized. In response to this demand, they are prepared to provide liquidity to Cboe's FTSE Bitcoin Index futures.
