Binance has reached a new milestone in the Ethereum market, accounting for a record 49% of all ETH outflows from centralized exchanges

Binance Captures Record 49% Share of ETH Outflows as Total Exchange Withdrawals Dip

Binance's share of Ethereum outflows has reached a new high, capturing 49% of all ETH withdrawn from centralized exchanges, as shared by CryptoQuant.

This comes as total ETH and BTC outflows from exchanges continue to trend downward, further highlighting Binance's growing footprint in the market.

Chart: CryptoQuant

As highlighted by CryptoQuant, Binance's share of ETH outflows has steadily increased, particularly over the past year.

While overall ETH outflows across exchanges have decreased, Binance has sharply increased its dominance, suggesting growing trust or demand for self-custody among its users.

What the Chart Shows

The chart above tracks:

Since late 2023, Binance's ETH outflow share has hit an all-time high, rising from the mid-30% range to 49% in early 2025.

This trend may indicate a preference among investors to withdraw and hold ETH privately during periods of market volatility.

As exchange balances decrease, it's often linked to long-term holding behavior, usually seen during phases of accumulation ahead of major price movements.
