The Anonymous Millionaires Who Will Be Dining With President Trump

With President Donald Trump's private dinner for top meme coin holders less than a week away, the leaderboard is awash with crypto wallets that are effectively anonymous.

President Donald Trump is reportedly planning to hold a private dinner with the top 220 meme coin holders ahead of the May 22 event.

The event will take place at Trump’s Virginia golf club outside of Washington, D.C., and it was announced last month. The tally for the event closed Monday night.

The nature of the pseudonymous wallets used by the Trump meme coin is interesting in light of the fact that the president’s family launched a new digital coin last month.

World Liberty Financial is a digital coin where 75% of the proceeds go to Trump-related entities.

The Trump family claims that the new venture is designed to help "unbanked" people around the world gain access to financial services, though critics have slammed the move as a desperate attempt to raise money ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

The Trump family is also planning to launch a new blockchain and cryptocurrency initiative later this year.

Earlier this year, the president’s son, Donald Trump Jr., launched his own meme coin, SuperTrumpCoin.

The Trump campaign is planning to accept cryptocurrency donations for the 2024 presidential election.

According to documents from blockchain analytics firm Inca Digital that were viewed by CNBC, the top 275 $TRUMP token holders send and receive the token to and from a variety of protocols, exchanges, and wallets.

Many are heavily tied to international exchanges like Binance that don't service U.S. customers, an indication that they're likely not U.S. citizens.

An analysis by Bloomberg revealed that 19 of the top 25 wallets are almost certainly owned by individuals operating outside the U.S.

Of the remaining six, two are linked to protocols and liquidity pools for the $TRUMP token, while four appear to belong to traders or investors who may be actively buying and selling the token on a regular basis.

The fact that the majority of the top $TRUMP token holders are based outside of the U.S. is a testament to the global reach of meme coins and cryptocurrencies in general.

It will be interesting to see if any of the top $TRUMP token holders are able to attend the private dinner with President Trump.

The president is reportedly planning to use the dinner as an opportunity to thank the token's largest holders for their support. He is also expected to discuss his vision for the future of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
