  NEW: The Polkadot DAO has passed Referendum 1710, a proposal to cap $DOT supply at 2.1 billion tokens with 81% support. This replaces the current uncapped model of 120M $DOT minted yearly and reduces emissions by stepping down new $DOT issuance every 2 years.
