Solana Optimistic Network (SOON), a blockchain project built on Solana's Virtual Machine, has secured $5 million in new funding.
Solana Optimistic Network (SOON), a blockchain project running Solana’s Virtual Machine and aiming to bring high-tech blockchain instruments closer to everyday users, has reportedly closed a $5 million funding round.
As revealed by Chain News, this investment in SOON is led by Jump Crypto and Amber Group, together with several angel investors.
These include Nana Murugesan from zkSync, Mark Hull from Kamino Finance, Chris Hermida from Switchboard, and Tori Cohen from Wormhole. Their involvement is set to bring unique perspectives and experience in advancing the project.
SOON is an Ethereum Layer 2, which it claims is capable of performing high-speed and low-frequency transactions with advanced trading functionalities, likely improving the overall blockchain experience for more users.
It’s also decoupled SVM stack supposedly allows SOON to perform execution and the core network with greater speed and efficiency.
Saurabh Sharma, the Head of Investments at Jump Crypto, noted that this arrangement will help introduce better performance in areas where it’s most needed by the users.
“We are excited to be able to assist in SOON’s vision and support the development of its technology as it set to empower the next generation of on-chain traders,” said Sharma.
Another huge investor, Amber Group, is attracted to SOON’s high-performance structure and social-friendly design.
Amber Group plans to integrate its AI models into SOON’s copy-trading platform, which allows users to follow and copy the trades of professional investors.
The step will enable individuals to access AI-based smart trading tools, even when they are rather inexperienced.
Jerry Zhou, the Asset Management Director at Amber Group, stated that SOON is contributing to defining the future of on-chain trading.
“The work of SOON resonates with a new generation of users who want tools that are both easy and powerful. At Amber Group, we are happy to extend our institutional-level support to this promising project.”
Meanwhile, SOON remains true to its mission statement: to provide blockchain and trading tools to the masses.
SOON aims to cover more users around the world by combining rapid technology, skilled partners, and convenient platforms.
This 5 million dollar investment is a significant milestone in SOON’s journey. It not only comes with financial reinforcement but also valuable partnerships and expertise.
As it evolves further, SOON will introduce high-tech access to blockchain to millions of individuals worldwide.
